Intership project

During my final internship for my Diploma of University Technology in 2022, I had the opportunity to intern at the Mediterranean Institute of Oceanography, a constituent entity of CNRS. My primary objective was to establish a data ingestion workflow and facilitate its dissemination across various platforms. This involved developing Python scripts and implementing automation procedures. Additionally, I encountered and effectively managed new, highly specialized file formats such as netCDF.

Throughout the internship, I encountered diverse challenges that required adaptability and problem-solving skills. I successfully navigated through the intricacies of data handling and processing, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems. My ability to swiftly grasp new concepts and technologies proved instrumental in overcoming hurdles encountered during the project.

During a recent IT project, we developed a web application aimed at facilitating user communication in case of deviations from their return route. The application allows users to send alerts to their pre-defined contacts if they stray from their designated path. To achieve this functionality, we had to create a website interface, write PHP code, and establish a corresponding database to manage user sessions and information effectively. This comprehensive approach ensured seamless communication and enhanced safety measures for our users throughout their journeys.

I have installed Linux on my Raspberry Pi and configured Docker Engine to run multiple containers, including:

• Apache and its database (this website)
• A simple service-oriented supervision solution (Dashy)
• A container supervision and administration solution (Portainer.io)
• Nextcloud and its database
• A proxy (Nginx)
• A VPN (OpenVPN)

I have many projects in mind, such as setting up a Home Assistant, creating a LAN DNS, building a Raspberry Pi cluster, integrating a firewall, and developing small APIs to familiarize myself with this technology. In short, I have numerous projects that will come to me as my homelab progresses.

Network Archietctures

Through my professional experience, I extensively work with Visio, producing logical architecture diagrams based on our clients' needs while adhering to network security policies, operational excellence, and cost management.
Typically, I also create PowerPoint presentations outlining the selected solutions and providing an overview of the solution.
Additionally, I generate Word documents for Low-Level Design (LLD) specifications for SDN, load balancers, firewalls, DNS, and routing.

CCNA: ITN & CCNA: Switching, Routing and Wireless

In 2022, I successfully completed both the CCNA: Introduction to Networks and the CCNA: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials certifications. These certifications, offered by Cisco, signify my proficiency in networking fundamentals as well as advanced switching, routing, and wireless technologies.

Throughout the courses, I gained a comprehensive understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and configurations. Moreover, I acquired practical skills in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting network solutions. These certifications not only validate my technical knowledge but also demonstrate my commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of networking.

With the CCNA certifications, I am equipped with the necessary expertise to excel in various roles within the networking domain, contributing effectively to the success of projects and organizations.

In 2023, I accomplished the CCNP: Core Networking certification, marking a significant milestone in my professional journey. Offered by Cisco, this certification validates my advanced proficiency in core networking concepts and technologies.

Throughout the certification process, I delved deep into advanced networking topics, including routing, switching, troubleshooting, and security. I gained expertise in designing and implementing scalable network solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

The CCNP certification not only demonstrates my advanced technical skills but also underscores my dedication to staying at the forefront of networking advancements. With this certification, I am well-equipped to tackle complex networking challenges and contribute effectively to the success of projects and organizations.
